Bewitched Healer 3 of 8

on

Stubbornness and desires of experimenting
Craved deeply in selfish hearts
A doomed possibility,
Was on a rising horizon
Colored purple and yellow, a rare mix
Unknown in a natural occurrence
Less care, spirit controllers offered.
A last breath of theirs, initiated trouble on
The land left behind with hidden truths
Abandoned with words
Of fallen spirit controllers
Losing track of freed spirits
Backstabbing a shady loophole of how?
Freed spirits were trapped in a first place?
Or perhaps why?
Freed spirits, were never allowed to roam
The land, or its belongings?

Awwh Ilona, I am glad you picked up an unexpected vibe 👏 👏 the piece is trailing towards it’s intentions… Why and/or how a Healer turns out to be Bewitched 😋😊😆🙏

When you said “snatched from” in one of your earlier pieces I thought that meant “taken from” or “stolen from” (though still giving credit) from” another author’s blog or place… having clicked the link this time I realize it is your own poetry… it is amazing and beautiful. Is it you in the youtube videos reading your own poetry as well?

    1. Joseph says:

Yes Nadine, it is my own poetry and creations. I use snatched to be dramatic, applying a twisted poetic rhyme to the ending. And yes again, I enjoy reciting my works adding a little character to it in the videos. What do you think of the videos? Thank you very much for appreciating and the editorial insight. 👏 👏 👏 😊😃

So true. I love a snippet here and there…I guess I’m a 10-book at a time type gal and just have to accept that and embrace it rather than get all uptight about just reading one st a time 😆👌🤓🤗👍

Yeah, me too 😅 Now I feel less guilty. I have a collection of unfinished to read books. Not due to loss of interest, but excitement to encounter a new storyline or theme. However, before a month ends, I ensure to at least finish one 💃😄😃

“This Naked Mind” by Annie Grace. A reader emailed me suggesting it to me. I’m kind of tired of self-help but I bought it so now I’m reading it. For its genre it’s really good, though I felt I had already tackled these ideas in my mind. Still, it’s excellent reinforcement and I make myself read 10 pages per day. I set a reminder on my phone and it buzzes angrily at me till I do it. :))

That was heavy to read. No, I don’t mean it’s bad. It’s written nicely. Just a bit heavy for me and takes a little time to digest.

Awwwh, sowi Jessica 😮 Thank you very much for letting I know. Am going to tone it down a bit in the next verse. Did it make any sense? 🤔

I don’t think you have to tone it down. I’m simply used to reading not so heavy stuff, but I understood it. I’m sure there are readers who loved it as it is.
