Raveled Nativity: 2 of 4

on

On an Isle, I was born
An elephant totem, I was restrained to
Intelligent, strong and loyal, I had to be
Spirit heads, in control of a given life
Hang besides a famous doited scarecrow
And its beaming rays, burnt its natives

On an Isle, I was born
I could leave anytime, I felt or wished like
Brief and simple it sounds; it was hard to do
I believed in all I heard, and encountered
Resulting in a bent soul, I currently possess
And its beaming rays, burnt its natives

On an Isle, I was born
Its grassroots and grasslands, were not firm
Rain was scarce: most of what was sowed, perished
On its soils, bugs grew and cherished its land
Its landscapes too high, they covered a horizon
And its beaming rays, burnt its natives

On an Isle, I was born
Forces of chance for a chosen selected few, reigned
Its love battle field, was covered red-black
With trees, known to passionately hump one another
Until a brave soul came, shot down its moon
And its beaming rays, burnt its natives
